Anti-MTRF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial translation release factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 445 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Prokaryotic/mitochondrial release factor protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MTTRF1, RF1, peptide chain release factor 1, mitochondrial, MRF-1, mitochondrial translational release factor 1, and MRF1. MTRF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the MTRF1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
