Anti-GEMIN8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein gem nuclear organelle associated protein 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 242 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Synonyms for this target antigen include gem-associated protein 8, family with sequence similarity 51, member A1, and FAM51A1. GEMIN8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GEMIN8 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
