Anti-Nectin-like 2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Nectin-like 2 is a known alias name of the protein cell adhesion molecule 1, encoded by the CADM1 gene in humans. This 442-amino acid residue protein is known to mediate homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca(2+)-independent manner. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland and cerebral cortex. Other synonyms for Nectin-like 2 include BL2, IGSF4, and IGSF4A. Western Blot is the most common application for the Nectin-like 2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
