Anti-ALK1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ALK1 is a known alias name of the protein ALK receptor tyrosine kinase, encoded by the ALK gene in humans. This 1620-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in brain development and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain and CNS.
