Anti-5HTT antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The 5HTT antigen is another term for the human protein solute carrier family 6 member 4, encoded by the SLC6A4 gene. The protein is known to function in neuronal differentiation, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 630 residues and a mass of 70.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in platelets. The 5HTT protein is a member of the Sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) protein family. Other alias names for 5HTT include 5-HTTLPR.
