Anti-ZDHHC14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase 14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 488 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the DHHC palmitoyltransferase protein family, ZDHHC14 is a reported palmitoyltransferase that could catalyze the addition of palmitate onto various protein substrates. Synonyms for this target antigen include DHHC domain-containing cysteine-rich protein 14, DHHC-14, NEW1 domain-containing protein, probable palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC14, and palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC14. ZDHHC14 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
