Anti-SERPINB1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein serpin family B member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 379 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, rectum, and bone marrow. It is a member of the Serpin protein family. The SERPINB1 marker can be used to identify Common Myeloid Progenitors (CMP).* Synonyms for this target antigen include ELANH2, HEL-S-27, HEL57, LEI, M/NEI, MNEI, PI-2, and EI. SERPINB1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
