Anti-PWP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PWP1 homolog, endonuclein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 501 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the WD repeat PWP1 protein family, PWP1 is reported to be a chromatin-associated factor that regulates transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include NCLB, periodic tryptophan protein 1 homolog, endonuclein, keratinocyte protein IEF SSP 9502, nuclear phosphoprotein similar to S. cerevisiae PWP1, and IEF-SSP-9502. PWP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PWP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
