Anti-MEIS3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Meis homeobox 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 375 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TALE/MEIS homeobox protein family, MEIS3 is a reported transcriptional regulator which directly modulates PDPK1 expression, thus promoting survival of pancreatic beta-cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include Meis1, myeloid ecotropic viral integration site 1 homolog 3, meis1-related protein 2, and homeobox protein Meis3. MEIS3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of MEIS3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
