IFITM3 antibodies are immunological tools used to detect interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3, encoded by the IFITM3 gene. Two transcript variants of the gene have been found, only one of which codes for proteins. It aids in immunity against viruses such as H1N1, dengue, and West Nile and has a role in bone mineralization, germ cell maturation, and cell adhesion.
