Anti-Cytoskeleton associated protein 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CKAP4 in humans. The gene may also be known as CLIMP-63, p63, and 63 kDa membrane protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 66 kilodaltons in mass and the CKAP4 antigen is a documented cancer marker. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
