Anti-Acid phosphatase 5, tartrate resistant antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACP5 in humans. The gene may also be known as tartrate resistant acid phosphatase, TRAcP, HPAP, TRACP5a, TRACP5b, TRAP, and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 36.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
