Anti-Epilysin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Epilysin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MMP28 gene, which encodes matrix metallopeptidase 28. This protein is known to function in extracellular matrix organization and proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of Epilysin has a canonical amino acid length of 520 residues and a protein mass of 58.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells. Epilysin is a member of the Peptidase M10A protein family. These Epilysin antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
