Anti-CX31 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CX31 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GJB3 gene, which encodes gap junction protein beta 3. This protein is known to function in cell to cell signaling and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of CX31 has a canonical amino acid length of 270 residues and a protein mass of 30.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells. This target antigen may also be known as DFNA2. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the CX31 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
