Anti-MPS2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MPS2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IDS gene, which encodes iduronate 2-sulfatase. This protein is known to be a lysosomal enzyme involved in the degradation pathway of dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate. The human version of MPS2 has a canonical amino acid length of 550 residues and a protein mass of 61.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as ID2S. Indicated applications for MPS2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
