Anti-KATII antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KATII is a known alias name of the protein aminoadipate aminotransferase, encoded by the AADAT gene in humans. This 425-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the liver. Other synonyms for KATII include KAT2 and KYAT2. Indicated applications for KATII antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
