Anti-SPL1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SPL1 is a known alias name of the protein sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1, encoded by the SGPL1 gene in humans. This 568-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and fatty acid metabolism, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for SPL1 include NPHS14, S1PL, and SPL. Over 290 citations in the literature describe the use of SPL1 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
