Anti-MAG2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MAG2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RETREG2 gene, which encodes reticulophagy regulator family member 2. The human version of MAG2 has a canonical amino acid length of 543 residues and a protein mass of 57.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex and testis. MAG2 is a member of the RETREG protein family.
