Anti-VPF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target VPF is a known alias name of the protein vascular endothelial growth factor A, encoded by the VEGFA gene in humans. This 232-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in angiogenesis and the cellular response to hypoxia, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for VPF include MVCD1 and VEGF. A number of VPF antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
