Anti-MX dynamin like GTPase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MX1 in humans. The gene may also be known as MX, MxA, IFI-78K, IFI78, interferon-induced GTP-binding protein Mx1, and interferon-induced protein p78. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 75.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
