Anti-MYADM antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein myeloid associated differentiation marker. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 322 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the MAL protein family, MYADM is known to be involved with the regulation of gene expression and the regulation of cell migration. Synonyms for this target antigen include myeloid upregulated protein. MYADM gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for MYADM antibodies.
