Anti-BUD31 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BUD31 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 144 amino acid residues and a mass of 17 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in epithelial and stromal cells in benign prostate hyperplasia tissue. A member of the BUD31 (G10) protein family, BUD31 is reported to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing process. Synonyms for this target antigen include EDG-2, EDG2, G10, YCR063W, fSAP17, protein BUD31 homolog, G10 maternal transcript homolog, and Cwc14. BUD31 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some BUD31 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
