Anti-SET2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SET2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SETD2 gene, which encodes SET domain containing 2, histone lysine methyltransferase. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis and viral immune response, among other biological roles. The human version of SET2 has a canonical amino acid length of 2564 residues and a protein mass of 287.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HBP231, HIF-1, and HIP-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the SET2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
