Anti-PLA2IR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PLA2IR is a known alias name of the protein phospholipase A2 receptor 1, encoded by the PLA2R1 gene in humans. This 1463-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2). It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in podocytes. Other synonyms for PLA2IR include CLEC13C, PLA2-R, and PLA2G1R. Indicated applications for PLA2IR antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
