Anti-MYO5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MYO5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MYO5A gene, which encodes myosin VA. This protein is known to function in insulin signaling pathways and protein localization to the plasma membrane, among other biological roles. The human version of MYO5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1855 residues and a protein mass of 215.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified.
