Anti-BRCA1 associated RING domain 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BARD1 in humans. The gene may also be known as BRCA1-associated RING domain protein 1, and BRCA1-associated RING domain gene 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 86.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
