Anti-KOC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KOC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IGF2BP3 gene, which encodes insulin like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 3. This protein is known to function in the morphogenesis of anatomical structure and nervous system development, among other biological roles. The human version of KOC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 579 residues and a protein mass of 63.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, placenta, and lymph node. Other names for this target antigen include CT98, IMP-3, and IMP3.
