Anti-GUD antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The GUD antigen is another term for the human protein WT1 transcription factor, encoded by the WT1 gene. The protein is reported to be a transcription factor that plays an important role in cellular development and cell survival. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 449 residues and a mass of 49.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed in the kidney and a subset of hematopoietic cells. The GUD protein is a member of the EGR C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Other alias names for GUD include AWT1 and NPHS4. A number of GUD antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
