Anti-CMH2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CMH2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TNNT2 gene, which encodes troponin T2, cardiac type. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of CMH2 has a canonical amino acid length of 298 residues and a protein mass of 35.9 kilodaltons, although 12 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in the heart muscle. Other names for this target antigen include CMD1D and CMPD2. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CMH2 antibodies.
