Anti-KChIP1 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene KCNIP1, or 'potassium voltage-gated channel interacting protein 1' in humans. The 227-amino acid protein is a member of the Recoverin family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic and membrane-associated.
