Anti-VPS29 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein VPS29 retromer complex component. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 182 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the VPS29 protein family, VPS29 is known to act as component of the retromer cargo-selective complex (CSC). Synonyms for this target antigen include DC7, PEP11, vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 29, PEP11 homolog, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and DC15. VPS29 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of VPS29 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
