Anti-DEXI antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Dexi homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 95 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.4 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart. It is a member of the DEXI protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include dexamethasone-induced protein, dexamethasone-induced transcript, and MYLE. DEXI gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DEXI antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
