Anti-PDRG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein p53 and DNA damage regulated 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 133 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be highly expressed in the normal testis and exhibits reduced but detectable expression in other organs. A member of a the Prefoldin subunit beta protein family, PDRG1 is believed to play a role in chaperone-mediated protein folding. Synonyms for this target antigen include p53 and DNA damage-regulated protein 1 and epididymis secretory sperm binding protein.
