Anti-PATE4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein prostate and testis expressed 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 98 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted. It is notably expressed in prostate, testis and spinal cord. A member of the PATE protein family, PATE4 is believed to modulate the function of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Synonyms for this target antigen include PATE-like protein B, prostate and testis expression B, and prostate and testis expressed protein 4. PATE4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. These PATE4 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
