Anti-MIP-5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MIP-5 is a known alias name of the protein C-C motif chemokine ligand 15, encoded by the CCL15 gene in humans. This 113-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a chemotactic factor that attracts T-cells and monocytes, but not neutrophils, eosinophils, or B-cells. The protein is secreted and features cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle and adrenal gland. Other synonyms for MIP-5 include HCC-2, HMRP-2B, and LKN-1. Indicated applications for MIP-5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
