Anti-CAPN12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calpain 12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 719 amino acid residues and a mass of 81 kDa. A member of the Peptidase C2 protein family, CAPN12 is known to be involved with proteolysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include CANP 12 and calcium-activated neutral proteinase 12. CAPN12 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CAPN12 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
