Anti-LAP2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LAP2 is a known alias name of the protein thymopoietin, encoded by the TMPO gene in humans. This 694-amino acid residue protein is suspected to be involved in the structural organization of the nucleus and in the post-mitotic nuclear assembly. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in many tissues.
