Anti-Cbl3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Cbl3 is a known alias name of the protein Cbl proto-oncogene C, encoded by the CBLC gene in humans. This 474-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, which accepts ubiquitin from specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, and then transfers it to substrates promoting their degradation by the proteasome. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
