Anti-phogrin antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The phogrin antigen is another term for the human protein protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type N2, encoded by the PTPRN2 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in vesicle-mediated secretory processes. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1015 residues and a mass of 111.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and pancreas. The phogrin protein is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family. Other alias names for phogrin include IA-2beta, IAR, and ICAAR. Indicated applications for phogrin antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
