Anti-Syt 1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Syt 1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SYT1 gene, which encodes synaptotagmin 1. This protein is known to function in brain development and cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of Syt 1 has a canonical amino acid length of 422 residues and a protein mass of 47.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. Other names for this target antigen include BAGOS, P65, and SVP65. Western Blot is the most common application for the Syt 1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
