Anti-MT4MMP antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene MMP17, or 'matrix metallopeptidase 17' in humans. The 603-amino acid protein is a member of the Peptidase M10A family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated and secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
