Anti-CD136 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD136 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MST1R gene, which encodes macrophage stimulating 1 receptor. This protein is known to function in cell migration and innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of CD136 has a canonical amino acid length of 1400 residues and a protein mass of 152.2 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CDw136 and NPCA3. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for CD136 antibodies.
