Anti-p190B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p190B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARHGAP5 gene, which encodes Rho GTPase activating protein 5. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and GPCR signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of p190B has a canonical amino acid length of 1502 residues and a protein mass of 172.5 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the kidney, fallopian tube, endometrium, cerebral cortex, and bronchus. Other names for this target antigen include GFI2, RhoGAP5, and p190-B. Western Blot is the most common application for the p190B antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
