Anti-TBC1D16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TBC1 domain family member 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 767 amino acid residues and a mass of 86.4 kDa. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. TBC1D16 is believed to act as a GTPase-activating protein for Rab family protein(s). Synonyms for this target antigen include CTD-2529O21.1. TBC1D16 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TBC1D16 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
