Anti-SMIM22 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein small integral membrane protein 22. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 83 amino acid residues and a mass of 9.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. SMIM22 is believed to modulate lipid droplet formation throught interaction with SQLE. SMIM22 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Indicated applications for SMIM22 antibodies listed below include Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
