Anti-LAPF antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LAPF antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLEKHF1 gene, which encodes pleckstrin homology and FYVE domain containing 1. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and autophagy pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of LAPF has a canonical amino acid length of 279 residues and a protein mass of 31.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, lysosomes and cytoplasm of cells.
