Anti-CYPIN antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CYPIN antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GDA gene, which encodes guanine deaminase. This protein is known to function in nervous system development, among other biological roles. The human version of CYPIN has a canonical amino acid length of 454 residues and a protein mass of 51 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex, testis, and caudate. CYPIN is a member of the ATZ/TRZ protein family.
