Description
FVB/NJGpt is an inbred mouse strain carrying the homozygous Pde6brd1 allele, resulting in early-onset retinal degeneration. The strain is susceptible to Friend leukemia virus B infection, allergen-induced airway inflammation, and chemically induced squamous cell carcinoma, while being resistant to collagen-induced arthritis. Its large pronuclei and large litter size make it a preferred strain for transgenic production and suitable for retinal degeneration, immunology, and cancer research
