B6-hBAFF is a humanized BAFF transgenic mouse on the C57BL/6 background that ubiquitously overexpresses human BAFF, resulting in abnormal B-cell activation and progressive lupus-like autoimmune phenotypes. The model exhibits human IgA renal deposition and proteinuria and has been validated with anti-human BAFF antibodies, making it suitable for studies of IgA nephropathy and evaluation of BAFF-targeted therapeutics
