FAD2T (APP/PS1) is an Alzheimer's disease model with moderate pathological progression. Aβ plaque deposition begins at approximately 4 months of age, followed by cognitive impairment around 8 months, with a lower plaque burden than FAD4T. The delayed disease progression provides an extended therapeutic intervention window, making the model suitable for studies of early-stage Alzheimer's disease, prophylactic vaccines, and therapeutic evaluation
